New Catalogs are about to arrive!

Oh, man, I feel like I’m a little kid on Christmas Eve all over again — my preordered cases of the new Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalog are due to be delivered in just a few short hours! How on earth am I going to concentrate at work knowing that those pages full of lovely stamps, designer papers, and ALL-NEW BIG SHOT ACCESSORIES are sitting there all forlorn and unloved, waiting for me to get home and unwrap them and ooh and ahh over every little detail? Good grief, forget work… how am I going to get any sleep tonight? The anticipation is killing me, not to mention the sneaking suspicion that my roomie, who clocks out an hour and a half earlier than I do, might open the box before I get there!

My swap card made Stamper’s Showcase!

Every month, my upline hosts a swap as part of her downline meeting. I just found out today that my card from the October swap was posted on Stamper’s Showcase, the demonstrator gallery on the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator website! Woohoo! No, I didn’t win anything — all I got was the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from seeing your work posted online… oh, and “proud mama” kudos from my upline! :o)

  • Paper: Whisper White, Brocade Blue
  • Ink: Brocade Blue classic, Night of Navy craft

Snow Day!

Okay, I know all of you out there actually use all your stuff (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), but I needed to do something with all that retired Designer Series Paper just sitting there in my stamp closet. Enter, “Deck the Wall,” a little contest at my job where we submit entries along a given theme and use them to decorate the large outside wall of our main conference room, which is visible from the street. The theme this year was “snowflakes,” and I found this awesome tutorial for a different variety of paper snowflake online. I had so much fun making them that it turned into a blizzard in my living room, LOL!

The majority of this is Stampin’ Up! paper, but one or two were made with paper bought at a local craft store. Yes, I know — shameful! Hey, why do you think I want to use the stuff up already? ;o)

Project ideas coming soon!

I’m working on getting a number of things photographed so I can post them — but I’m sure you all know how crazy things can get around this time of year! Photos, etc. will be posted starting this weekend. I promise, the plan for this blog was not to have it be one big advertisement for SU! promotions!
